The Woodend Old School House is a vision of yesteryear, a triple red brick old school that has all the charm and history that will inspire your senses. To sit and relax by the fire with a glass of wine and book is simply wonderful.


I am a retired fire officer from Melbourne now operating a bed and breakfast in the magnificent Macedon Ranges and the host of your stay. With so many wonderful activities to enjoy in the neighbouring towns of Trentham, Daylesford, Castlemaine to name a few, Wineries Cafes Cycling Hanging Rock Boutique food stores Gardens Art shows Woodend is centrally located to all these.

All the rooms are large spacious areas with lovely gardens to relax your spirits in the fresh Macedon Ranges clean air.

The Gallery Room is some 100+ sqm area overlooking the 2 ponds and stunning gardens in a well lit East and Northern aspect. A antique queen four poster bed with a full Latex mattress ensures a very comfortable nights sleep while the frogs and crickets provide a cacophony of song to complete your dreamtime.

The Studio Room is a lovely room isolated from the main living area with a wood fire at the end of a comfortable Queen bed with a Latex mattress. The tranquility of this room will appeal to those who want to be surrounded by the call of the frogs and crickets. It was once the painting studio of a well known Macedon Ranges artist.
